Shropshire Aero Club has teamed up with AirPortal to manage drone and crane approvals efficiently and safely! As an airfield, we are committed to ensuring the safety of our based and visiting pilots, which means we have strict rules and regulations to ensure that commitment is met, including the use of drones.

Whilst it is not an obligation to submit a request when operating outside our Flight Restriction Zone, we strongly encourage operators to do so as it makes us aware of activity in the local area which increases flight safety for all.

HOW DO I GAIN PERMISSION

If you are a commercial operator or simply a hobbyist, please complete an application using the link below. It's a straightforward and quick process which helps us to process and document requests in and around our FRZ. 

 

Registering on AirPortal is free of charge, a recreational flight application is free and a commercial application is £15 (including VAT).

 

If your request is approved you will receive a quick email to confirm, if not we'll be sure to let you know how to modify your request so your flight is safe for all parties involved!
